With the support from MOH and AusAID, the FMT facilitated a promotion workshop for national government health agencies and institutes on Nov. 6, 2007 in Beijing. A total of 38 representatives from different departments and divisions of National MOH and China CDC attended the workshop. Ms. Ge Lijun, the Division Chief of International Cooperation Department of MOH, and the Facility Manager, Mr. Dong Shengli, chaired the workshop.

Ms Kirsty Dudgeon, the first secretary of AusAID Beijing, introduced the origin, principles and progress of the China-Australia Integrated Health and HIV/AIDS Program, Ms. Ge Lijun presented the themes and objectives of the Program, and Dr. Michael Fett, SHA, gave a presentation on Australian strengths in health sector and the partnership between Chinese and Australia agencies. Ms Cai Linna and Mr. Wang Jun, senior program officers of AusAID Beijing, also took part. The FMT presented the management structure of FMT, the Activity Cycle and the applying procedure, and the detailed requirement of Concept Paper and Activity Design. All answered the questions from participants and there was an enthusiastic and participatory discussion, which answered queries and raised some recommendations for the FMT and CAHHF procedures. The success of the workshop promoted understanding about CAHHF among Chinese agencies, and commenced the process of calling for the proposals from Chinese agencies.
