The 2nd PMC Meeting

The 2nd PMC Meeting of CAIHHP was successfully held at China MOH on March 20, 2008. The representatives from the memberships of PMC, including Ms. Wei Lai, the First Secretary of MOFCOM, Ms. Carolyn Bull, the Counsellor of AusAID, Dr. Ren Minghui, Deputy Department General of MOH, and Ms. Penelope Ngui, the Division Chief of DoHA. Meanwhile, both Dr. Nie Jiangang and Dr. Michael Fett as SHAs, Mr. Dong Shengli, Facility Manager, participated in the meeting as observers. Other participants included Ms. Kirsty Dudgeon, the First Secretary of AusAID, Ms. Cai Linna, Senior Program Officer of AusAID, Mr. Wang Jun, Senior Program Officer of AusAID, Ms. Shao Meng, Program Officer of MOH, Mr. Chris Morgan, Facility Coordinator from Burnet Institute, and other FMT members.

The progress of CAIHHP and CAHHF were reviewed through the Meeting, and PMC recognized the achievements of CAHHF made by FMT since the first PMC Meeting.

The representatives of PMC discussed and endorsed relevant documents of CAHHF, including Quality Management Plan, Monitoring and Evaluation Framework, Capacity Development Strategy and Facility Annual Plan. The approval and endorsement of those documents provided the direction and principles for management and the activities of CAHHF in the following year.

The final approval was made for the Concept Papers recommended by both SHAs. Finally 24 Concept Papers have been approved to be proceeded into activity design. The approval of those concepts promoted the Activities into the design, launch and implementation.
