On March 14th 2009, the Healthy China 2020 Strategy Research Project (HSS29) was successfully launched at Beijing University.

This blueprint for health will target key health problems through a series of effective national interventions and practical public health actions.
The opening speeches recognized the achievements in bilateral health cooperation between China and Australia, and voiced a general confidence in the creation of a more equitable and sustainable health system in China.
